History of El Afghano thus far

The first issue came in early 2000. It was a one-day-effort by Afghanbashi. Afghanbashi invented the creatures Mohammed Napoleon, Abu Gaza and Arturo Ui during the making of the text-file. Later he got to learn the real Mohammed, Arturo, and also two other people: Maestro Monteverdi and Pedro. They were very similar to him. But not all of them were interested in the mag: Pedro and Abu gradually started to vanish. Mohammed, however, was as egocentric as Afghanbashi could imagine, and so Afghanbashi had the idea of doing as if he and Mohammed were fighting for editorship. In fact Mohammed was bad at writing and Afghanbashi wrote most of the stuff for him. In this way issue two was created.

Issue 3 featured an interface for the first time. We are used to telling people who ask us about the makers that it is a co-effort by Afghanbashi and Mohammed. Actually it is a "downprogrammed" rip-off from another diskmag but as nobody seems to have noticed it...

We invented political parties and acted as if we were fighting about the rule of a country in this issue. It was fun. Arturo Ui invented pseudonyms for his ministers. Also Mohammed was about to become the president of the e-mag scene, as nobody had sent us a filled votesheet and so we just had his. The title was worthless anyway, yet Maestro Monteverdi decided to make it more thrilling and therefore declared the elections as illegal due to too few people participating.

After some break - realscenelife was more important - issue 4 stroke back. Well, a pretty small one, too, but... realscenelife, you know. And apart from that, you have to think about ways of surviving later, so the third layer of your life that does not even earn you fame is not so important. But it was released and caused some little reaction...
