ELSA to Introduce 3Dfx Voodoo Banshee based 3D Graphics Accelerator

Santa Clara, CA (July 13, 1998) - ELSA Inc. today announced that the company will expand its Consumer line of high performance graphics accelerators with the introduction of 3Dfx Corporation's new Voodoo Banshee^™ 3D processor technology, targeting the performance and entertainment segments of the PC graphics market.

Voodoo Banshee offers the highest levels of game play and the greatest visual experience. The fully integrated 2D and 3D graphics processor includes an entirely new 2D engine and the core 3D technology of the 3D gaming performance leader, the 3Dfx Voodoo2. ELSA’s new of generation products will provide 128-bit graphics technology and support up to 16MB of frame buffer memory resulting in a powerful solution for 2D applications and 3D intensive games. The integrated 230/250 MHz DAC, supports high resolutions including HDTV resolutions of up to 1920 x 1440.

ELSA provides a complete suite of high performance drivers including those optimized Microsoft's PC '98 and Direct3D^™, including the DirectX 6.0. The outstanding DirectX support of the ELSA VICTORY Erazor ensures superb multimedia quality across a wide range of graphical applications from traditional 2D software to 3D intensive games and DVD titles. In addition to full optimization for DirectX 5.0/6.0 and Windows 98, ELSA provides full support for an OpenGL ICD (Installable Client Driver) for Microsoft^® Windows 95^® and Microsoft^® Windows NT^®.
