SAN JOSE, Calif.--March 16, 1999 -- ELSA, Inc., a world leader in computer graphics add-on and peripheral solutions, today announced the ERAZOR III desktop graphics accelerator, offering increased 2D/3D quality and performance for business graphics users and 3D consumer gamers. ERAZOR III leverages the new RIVA TNT2 graphics processor from nVIDIA Corporation -- equipped with up to 32 MB of memory and an uncompromising 2D/3D engine -- to support the total range of portrayable 3D scenarios for all 3D applications in rendering programs, publishing applications and games.

The ERAZOR III features the latest bus technology, supporting legacy AGP 1X, 2X and the latest AGP 4X, a TwiN-Texel Rendering-Pipeline and full 128-bit memory interface. With up to 32MB of display memory for texturing and imaging, the ERAZOR III delivers 250 mega-pixels-per-second (MPPS) fill rate, and over 8 million polygons per second in 1600 x 1200 TrueColor at 85 KHz refresh rate. ERAZOR III is a powerful solution that provides users with the highest levels of 3D quality and performance for software and games.

ERAZOR III is optimized for Microsoft's PC '98 and Direct 3D, including the DirectX 6.0. The outstanding DirectX support provided by the ERAZOR III ensures the highest possible multimedia quality across a wide range of graphical applications from traditional 2D software to 3D intensive games and DVD titles. In addition to full optimization for DirectX 5.0/6.0 and Windows 98, ELSA provides full support for an OpenGL Installable Client Driver (ICD) for Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows NT.

Product Availability:
ERAZOR III will be available in three competitively priced versions offering unbeatable 3D performance for all levels of users. ERAZOR III will be available in a 16MB version, a 32MB version, and a 32MB with Video-In and Video-Out (VIVO) version. The ERAZOR III 32MB with VIVO version offers new flexibility for both home and office users to capture and display video and play games on a television set. All three versions of the ERAZOR III are scheduled for availability in Q2 1999.
