integrated into the newest Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HWP - news) PC workstation models, the HP Kayak XA,
XA-s and XU PC Workstations.
HP Kayak PC Workstations performance features are optimized for professional 2D and entry-level 3D
applications. The range of applications includes advanced spreadsheet manipulation, financial modeling, digital
content creation, software development, 2D and entry-level 3D mechanical design and 2D electronic design.
The award-winning ELSA GLoria Synergy allows HP to provide users with all-in-one performance for
both 2D and entry-level 3D applications. The ELSA GLoria Synergy is equipped with the
latest PERMEDIA-2 processor from 3Dlabs, 8MB SGRAM and AGP bus. High resolutions of up to
1920 x 1200 can be displayed in HighColor. The GLoria Synergy also supports 16:10 monitor sizes
for wide-screen monitors. The comprehensive multi-screen functionality of the ELSA GLoria Synergy
allows up to four monitors to be operated with the HP Kayak XA and HP Kayak XA-s PC Workstations by
integrating a corresponding number of GLoria Synergy PCI boards under Microsoft Windows® 95,
Microsoft Windows® 98 and Microsoft Windows NT®. The ELSA Software
Advantage provides the user with high-performance drivers and tools for Microsoft Windows®,
OpenGL, HEIDI, Direct 3D, AutoCAD® and 3D Studio MAX/VIZ.

64-MB RAM and an ELSA GLoria Synergy is expected to be available in September for an estimated
street price of $1,900.
The HP Kayak XA-s PC Workstation featuring a 450-MHz Pentium II processor (upgradeable to a second
processor), an ELSA GLoria Synergy (AGP), 128-MB SDRAM, and a 10.1-GB Ultra ATA or 9.1-GB SCSI
hard-disk drive is available now starting at an estimated street price of US $3300.
The HP Kayak XU PC Workstation, featuring up to two 450-MHz Pentium II processors, ELSA GLoria Synergy
AGP graphics, 128-MB SDRAM and 4.5-GB or 9.1-GB/10,000 rpm hard-disk drive is also available now, with an
