ELSA GLoria Synergy to Ship With New Multi-Screen Software - ELSA Desktop - For Feature Rich Multi-Monitor Productivity for CAD and Financial Applications

Autodesk Design World (Booth #128), Philadelphia, PA (September 14, 1998) - ELSA Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) today announced that new releases for its software solutions will ship with the award-winning GLoria™ family of professional graphics accelerators. These solutions include: POWERdraft 14 for AutoCAD R14, Mechanical Desktop and Architectural Desktop; ELSAview 3D for 3D visualization in AutoCAD and Mechanical Desktop; and ELSA MAXtreme for enhanced hardware accelerated rendering in 3D Studio MAX® R2.x and 3D Studio VIZ® R2.x.

ELSA GLoria Synergy now offers the new multi-screen software - ELSA Desktop for new and existing CAD and financial customers requiring stable and feature-rich multi-monitor support.

ELSA POWERdraft 14 - the only hardware-accelerated graphics driver and utility set for AutoCAD R14-POWERdraft 14 delivers the horsepower and the productivity tools required by AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, and Architectural Desktop. POWERdraft 14, in addition to the navigation and viewing features offered with Cockpit, now also includes MAGNIview virtually eliminating the need to pan and zoom by constantly displaying a zoomed-view of the drawing at the current cursor location.

ELSA MAXtreme - a specialized driver for 3D Studio MAX and 3D Studio VIZ versions R2.x provides users with considerable performance and productivity gains in combination with ELSA GLoria graphics accelerators. The new ELSA MAXtreme 1.01.00 enables hardware support for standard fogging delivering realistic render-quality images in the viewport. ELSA MAXtreme delivers up to a 250% performance jump over competitive standard OpenGL® drivers.

ELSAview 3D - a real-time 3D editor and viewer tightly integrated with AutoCAD R14, AutoCAD R13, and Mechanical Desktop. ELSAview 3D now offers its full- featured 3D capabilities such as light and material editing, clipping functionality, and improved navigation interfaces to users. In addition, ELSAview 3D now allows you to work within one viewport. The ELSAview 3D full- featured trial version can be downloaded from the ELSA web site at http://www.elsa.com/. The trial version is activated by installation with any GLoria graphics accelerator.

ELSA Desktop - a multi-screen utility available with the ELSA GLoria Synergy. ELSA Desktop allows a user to configure up to six monitors with six GLoria Synergy professional graphics accelerators, in a vertical, horizontal or rectangular array. ELSA Desktop also offers features such as hotkeys, per monitor configuration designed to meet the flexibility and productivity needs of CAD and financial professionals.
