ELSA's OpenGL performance leader - the ELSA GLoria-XXL, in its high-performance workstations.
A leading manufacturer of Windows NT workstations and servers, Tri-Star will offer the ELSA
GLoria-XXL AGP professional graphics accelerator to users with demanding geometry-intensive
graphics requirements for CAD/CAM/CAE, 3D animation, and digital media markets.
The ELSA GLoria-XXL is the OpenGL performance leader in the ELSA GLoria family, delivering
superior AGP
performance with on-board geometry. Tri-Star customers will be able to take advantage of high resolution
OpenGL up to 1920 x 1200 in high color, full geometry acceleration in hardware, and ELSA's Software Advantage
in OpenGL, 3D Studio MAX®, and Autodesk Mechanical Desktop® drivers.

The ELSA GLoria-XXL provides 16MB of VRAM and up to 40MB of local texture memory EDO-RAM, proving to be an
excellent choice for customers in the MCAD and digital content creation market running media-rich, geometry
intensive 3D applications such as SOFTIMAGE®3D, 3D Studio MAX and
Pro/ENGINEER®. This accelerator features
ELSA optimized drivers for high-performance 3D standards: OpenGL, HEIDI, and Direct 3D; and ELSA Software
Advantage in drivers and utilities including GLoria settings, MAXtreme for 3D Studio MAX R2,
POWERdraft for AutoCAD R14, R13 and ELSAview 3D for AutoCAD R13, R14 and Mechanical Desktop.
Incorporating the 3Dlabs® (San Jose, CA) (NASDAQ:TDDDF) GLINT GMX processor, GLoria-XXL
is capable of accelerating up to 3.3 million polygons-per-second, with full geometry transformation, lighting
calculations, texture coordinate generation and high quality fog calculation. GLoria-XXL uses a 48-bit local
buffer interface to enable simultaneous use of 3D features such as front and back buffer, Z buffer, stencil,
fast clear planes and graphics ID.
