Rules and Regulations and Our Privacy Policy

1. No purchase necessary to enter or win. Official entry forms are located in the ELSA printed mailer or on the ELSA web site. To enter: hand print full name, address (City, state or province and Zip or mail code), daytime telephone number with area code, and birth date. Submit the form either via fax, mail or enter on the web at www.elsa.com/welcome/trip. Mailed entries must be sent to ELSA Sweepstakes, ELSA Inc., 2231 Calle De Luna, Santa Clara, CA 95054.

2. Entry. You will be entered in the Sweepstakes upon receipt of your entry by fax, mail or web site. Limited to one entry per person per day. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. E.S.T. on October 30, 1998.

3. Reservations. Sweepstakes void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to federal, state, local provincial laws and regulations. All entries become the property of ELSA and will not be returned. Unless otherwise prohibited, entry into this promotion and acceptance of any prize constitutes the grant of an unconditional right to use winner's name, voice, likeness or address (city and state) for publicity, advertising, and promotional purposes for this or similar promotions, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. All information collected in the contest will remain confidential to ELSA. ELSA will not be reselling or in any other way giving access to the information. ELSA may use the names to send information on new ELSA products, promotions or other giveaways.

4. Eligibility. Participation restricted to legal United States residents (excluding Puerto Rico) and Canada (excluding Quebec), and are 21 years of age and over. Employees of ELSA, ELSA's parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents and ELSA's advertising, promotion, and judging agencies, and their respective immediate families living in the same household, are not eligible to enter this Sweepstakes.

5. Drawing. Winners will be selected in a series of random drawings held on November 6, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. by an independent judge whose decisions are final and binding in all respects regarding this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Winners will be announced at the time of each drawing, and will be confirmed by telephone and/or certified mail on or about November 12, 1998.

6. Prizes. One (1) Grand Prize: Trip to Germany will include 2 coach round trip tickets to Germany (up to $2000.00 value) and $1500.00 towards taxes, gratuities, hotel and incidentals (anything above $1500.00 will be the responsibility of the winner) OR cash equivalent option of $3500.00. Awards must be redeemed within 12 months from the date of notification of the award. Blackout dates may apply. WINNER MUST BE AVAILABLE TO TRAVEL BY DATES SPECIFIED BY SPONSOR OR FORFEIT ALL RIGHTS TO PRIZE. Five (5) First Prizes: ELSA GLoria Synergy graphics accelerator (Approximate retail value: $199.95 each). Twenty-five (25) Second Prizes: ELSA T-Shirt (approximate value $7 each). Total value of prizes: $4,600.00.

   No prize substitutions or transfers are permitted for the Grand prize. No cash equivalents on all other prizes. If prize is not generally available at program's end, a substitution of equal or greater value will be made at Sponsor's sole discretion.

7. Conditions of Participation. Winners are required to show eligibility. By entering or accepting a prize in this sweepstakes, winners agree to be bound by these Official Rules, the judge's decision, and to conform to all federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. All licenses, registrations, federal, state, provincial, and local taxes are the winners' responsibility. An Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and (unless prohibited) Publicity Release may be required to prove eligibility. The failure of a potential winner to verify address, execute, and return an affidavit of Eligibility / Release within thirty days from the date of notification will result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. In the event of any other non-compliance with these rules and/or conditions, prizes may be awarded to alternate winners. A traveling companion will be required to sign a Liability Release before ticketing. All Canadian residents will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skills test to be eligible to collect their prizes.

8. Release. Winners agree to release and hold harmless ELSA Inc., and its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, officers, employees, attorneys, and agents from any damage, injury, death, loss or other liability that may arise from their acceptance or use of any prize or their participation in this promotion, or from the misuse, loss, or malfunction of any prize award.

9. Invalid Entries. ELSA and its agents are not responsible for any lost, late, illegible, mutilated, misdirected or postage-due mail. Entries which are mutilated, altered, tampered with, illegible, or contain printing errors are void.

10. List of Winners. To receive the names of the Sweepstakes winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to "ELSA Sweepstakes Winners", ELSA Inc., 2231 Calle De Luna, Santa Clara, CA 95054 after October 15, 1998.
