October 20, 1998 - For the ELSA ERAZOR II, ELSA's brand-new RIVA TNT-equipped graphics board, the latest driver release 2.0 is available for download from the ELSA web site.
ERAZOR II owners can look forward to these new features. The ELSA WINman, for fine tuning the refresh rates and resolutions of ELSA graphics boards, is now available for the ELSA ERAZOR II. The detail settings enable owners of the ELSA ERAZOR II to set any resolution in 32-pixel steps and at any desired refresh rate. These freely adjustable settings are limited only by the monitor’s performance and they are currently available on just one RIVA TNT-based board: the ERAZOR II. This feature is especially useful for 3D games: For example, with the "Optimal" option selected, the ERAZOR II adjusts itself for the highest possible picture refresh rate. This ensures that the game flow is not handicapped by low refresh rates.
The 3D Settings have also been newly conceived and present numerous extra functions. Advanced users have more options for fine-tuning the 3D configuration. This means that the 3D performance can be noticeably improved.
Additional to this, the drivers for Windows® 95 and Windows® 98 have been optimized for further improvements in 2D performance.
