October 19, 1998 - ELSA, the computer graphics and data communications manufacturer based in Aachen, Germany, is now offering the successful all-in-one ELSA GLoria Synergy graphics board as an economical twin-screen bundle. The twin pack contains either two PCI graphics boards or one PCI and one AGP version, as well as the enhanced ELSA WINman Suite multi-screen utilities. This multi-screen solution can be expanded with further GLoria Synergy boards as required, permitting convenient management of up to six monitors. ELSA has been active in the multi-screen field since the beginning of the Windows era; today it represents one of the company’s core competencies.

In addition to the classic horizontal positioning, the graphics driver supports vertical positioning and any combination of rectangular arrangements. The refresh rates and resolutions can be set independently for each monitor. Each monitor can thus be run at its specific performance limits. With the new implementation of "virtual screen", it is possible to design graphics solutions tailored to a user’s specific application by using monitors of different sizes. The use of the system is simplicity in itself, even with several applications and their assignment to specific monitors. The handling of the system is completely intuitive with supplementary buttons. Productivity is boosted further by hotkeys which can be freely defined by the user.
