ELSA GLoria-XXL OpenGL® graphics accelerator to be included in the UMAX TekStation

High performance 3D acceleration to be delivered with AGP ELSA GLoria-XXL for new Pentium II Xeon-based UMAX Professional Workstations

June 30, 1998 - ELSA, Inc., the US subsidiary of the German computer graphics and data communications specialist ELSA, today announced that UMAX Data Systems Inc. new professional workstations - TekStation - will be powered by the ELSA GLoria-XXL. GLoria-XXL will provide high performance 3D OpenGL acceleration for users working in the digital content creation and MCAD market. The TekStation, powered with dual Pentium II Xeon processors, in combination with the ELSA GLoria-XXL will provide mechanical and creative professionals with a turnkey solution for powerful 3D performance.

ELSA GLoria-XXL is the ideal solution for customers with demanding 3D geometry, texture, and resolution requirements. It delivers OpenGL 3D in resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080 in TrrueColor, full geometry acceleration in hardware, stereo graphics output, up to 56 MB of memory, and the ELSA Software Advantage in high performance OpenGL, 3D Studio MAX and AutoCAD drivers. Users of applications such as 3D Studio MAX, Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, Pro/ENGINEER, Bentley MicroStation, Solidworks, Softimage among others can take advantage of the GLoria­XXL's optimized support for OpenGL and customized drivers.
