Aachen, Germany – The modem specialist ELSA launches a new ELSA V.34 modem at this year's CeBIT, the MicroLink 33.6TS. In addition to the standard operating modes modem, fax and voice, MicroLink 33.6TS offers active telephony support.
The MicroLink 33.6TS functions as an automatic dialer by making connections to numbers selected in software. The user can pick up on the call simply by lifting the hand set of a connected telephone. The included software package ELSAsuite supports the dialing functions of MicroLink 33.6TS by a convenient telephone register, which appears automatically as a pop-up window on the screen when picking up the hand set.
Moreover, the speakerphone functionality of MicroLink 33.6TS offers the option of hands-free telephony, for example during a telephone conference. The hands-free conversation is realized by an external microphone and the modem speaker, included in the components of the package. Alternatively, you can connect a headset or a soundcard or active loudspeakers to the modem. The use of a headset is particularly interesting for PC workstations, at which the PC has to be operated during the conversation. The speakerphone function via an external microphone and the active loudspeaker of a PC is ideal for telephone conferences with several participants.
