According to a brand-awareness poll by the German magazine PC-WELT (PC World), good evaluations in comparison tests are a major and decisive factor for end-user purchases and consequently promote sales.

Readers of the most widely sold telecommunications magazine in Germany, Connect, voted the ELSA MicroLink™ 56k modem "Product of the Year" in the PC online category by a substantial majority. The ELSA MicroLink 56k provides all necessary prerequisites for surfing in the Internet. The user can immediately use all possibilities of data communications with the complete software suite included. The brand new, multifunctional ELSA MicroLink™ Office modem, which integrates a complete, stand-alone answering machine in addition to modem and fax storage functions, also climbed directly to the top of the ladder in the magazines PC-ONLINE, WIN and CHIP. The German magazine PC Professionell (PC Professional) evaluated performance, equipment and service of the office modem with a "very good", which also help to contribute to its excellent overall result. The ISDN routers ELSA LANCOM™ 1000 Office and LANCOM™ 2000 Office also received top grades in the magazines PC-ONLINE and PC Professionell.

The 3D-games graphics board ELSA ERAZOR™ II already received rave reviews even before it was available in stores. The magazine PC Professionell wrote in its latest issue that, "The ERAZOR II demonstrates a tremendously high 3D-games performance, which gives it an uncontested top spot in this sector." The result: number one of 25 tested graphics boards. The test laboratory of the magazine WIN rewarded the ELSA ERAZOR™ II with the distinction of being the "TOP Product of 11/98." The magazine called the new graphics board a "nonplus-ultra" among 2D/3D combination cards for demanding home users. The magazines PCgo! and PC-WELT attested to the uncompromising good performance of the ELSA ERAZOR™ II. Regardless of whether it was a question of 3D games, animations, visualizations or desktop publishing, the user profits from increased quality and performance.

The high-end 3D graphics board ELSA GLoria™-XXL was rated "Price-Performance Winner" in a test in the magazine 3D LIVE.

In the US, the magazines CADALYST and CADENCE awarded distinctions to the ELSA GLoria Synergy™.

The ELSA monitors also notched up some success. The magazine PCgo! awarded the new ELSA ECOMO™ 117LCD TFT flat-screen monitor with its "very good" grade. The magazine PC-DIREKT (PC Direct) attested to the good price/performance ratio of the ELSA ECOMO™ 21M98 , which results in an overall grade of "very good" for the monitor and its recommendation by the editors.
