ELSA Cable Modem

Preliminary specification - available in summer 1999

The Ultimate Solution for High Speed Internet Access

The ELSA Cable Modem connects any device equipped with an 10Base-T Ethernet interface via a cable TV network to the Internet. All the well-known applications for the Internet can be used as usual as well as any customer specific software based on IP. The ELSA Cable Modem conforms to the MCNS Data Over Cable System Interface Specification (DOCSIS) and therefore is able to operate in any cable TV network which offers data services utilising an MCNS DOCSIS compliant Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS).
