Why does the ELSA driver not install correctly under Windows NT 4.0?

Symptom
You see resolutions like 0x1, 0x2... under display properties - settings without color depth or refresh rate information. If you try to select one of these resolutions, Windows NT 4.0 starts automatically the driver setup (tested with ELSA GLoria Synergy, driver version 5.34.00.324).
It may also occur, that the ELSA driver will not install at all. You'll find pcANYWHERE file names under 'properties of display/settings/configuration/driver information/installed files'.



Cause
pcANYWHERE 32 version 8.02 is probably installed.

Workaround
Install the ELSA driver first and than pcANYWHERE 32 version 8.02.
