3D Studio MAX R2.0/2.5 - better performance under OpenGL
Under 3D Studio MAX you can find an option 'allow Dual Plane support (OpenGL Extension)'. You'll find it under 'File\Preferences...\Viewports\Configure Driver'.
If 'allow Dual Plane support (OpenGL Extension)' is activated, you can see a performance increase about until factor 83 (according to the size of the object on your screen). You can see the difference with the following example: (Tested with a GLoria Synergy AGP 8MB)
