No textures with Quake 2 and ELSA GLoria-L under Windows NT
Even with the standard settings: default OpenGL and only 640x480 in TrueColor, you won't see any textures. Everything will only be shaded. This will also happen when playing Quake 2 in window mode.
BTW, on Quake 2's console you'll read the error message: read: glGetError() = 0x501
This is a result of the hardware limitations of the chipset GLint 500TX. This chipset, used for the ELSA GLoria-L, does not support 8-bit paletted textures, but only 4-bit.
But there is a workaround available:
As Quake 2's default setting is to use 8-bit paletted textures, you need to switch these of under video options.
For better performance you may disable MipMaps in the ELSA GLoria Settings and set the texture quality slider to best minus one step.
