New features and improvements in FRITZ!OS 6.32


New - FRITZ!Repeater's connections to the the Internet router (FRITZ!Box) and to the network devices are displayed clearly on the "Overview" page. This includes a graphic as well as information on speed, encryption and name of radio network
New - As part of the completely reworked menus, a new "Home Network Access" item was added, which serves primarily to define the kind of connection to the home network or the FRITZ!Box and to provide relevant information and settings

New - The upcoming FRITZ!OS of the FRITZ!Box will introduce a new, central feature. The "Home Network" area includes a new "Home Network Overview" to offer an overall view of the currently connected AVM FRITZ! devices. The necessary preparations have already been completed in the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater.

New - When the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater is integrated in a FRITZ!Box home network, the user interface of the repeater is protected by the same login data as the FRITZ!Box.

Please note that some features are only accessible in Expert Mode (menu System/Expert Mode).

To carry out the firmware update:

 1) Open your Internet browser and enter the address "http://fritz.repeater" or "192.168.178.2". Please check if required the IP-address of your FRITZ!Repeater DVB_C in the FRITZ!Box - Home Network overview.
 2) Select the menu "System" and then the sub-menu "Firmware Update".
 3) Use the "Browse ..." button to enter the appropriate path to the update file.
 4) Click the "Update" button.
    
 To recover the storage space on your hard drive, you can delete the update file after 
 you have carried out the update.
